Formative Experience

We value the importance of formative experiences, and at YIK we are concerned with the long
term results of a balanced education. That is the concept behind YIK “Comprehensive Education”.

幼児期の大切さ

YIKは幼児期の大切さを認識しています。
長期的視野に立った、バランスの取れた能力形成。
それがYIKの目指すトータル・エデュケーション（総合教育）です。

幼児期の特徴は、脳の中で“シナプス”が形成されていることです。
このシナプスのネットワークは、言語のみならず、
後々の知的能力、記憶、問題解決能力にとても大切な役割を果たします。

The first years of life represent the most critical period for brain development.
From the time of birth, billions of brain cells begin connecting to
help the child develop a competent brain.
These connections are called synapses.
The network of synapses will influence the intellectual capacity,
memory, problem solving and language learning abilities.
Most of these connections are made in early childhood,
with notable intensity within the first year.

言語成長のシナプスは幼児期に形成されます。
ですから、この時期に楽しく、多様な音を聞き、話す経験が大切です。

The synapses for language acquisition connect in the one to three years’ stage.
This means that children need stimulation from interesting and
varied listening and speaking experiences.

クラスルームの中の共通言語は英語です。
英語圏の幼稚園と同様の環境で、英語を聞き、話します。
YIKでは世界中からやってきた先生、お友だちから
さまざまな音を聞きます。

大切なことは、目と目をみて話すこと。気持ちのこもった“ことば”で話すこと。
相手の気持ちを受け入れ、音楽にあわせて歌うこと。
声をだし、楽しいと感じること。
それらが集まってコミュニケーション力になります。

Children need face to face interaction. Talk slowly. Pause. Wait for a response.
Change the tone and inflections of your voice. Sing. Play music and sing along.
Children need to make sounds and feel the delight and results that making sounds brings.

音楽は、問題解決能力に大きな役割を果たします。

Music learning stimulates the development of problem solving abilities.

そして、何より機能的な学習で“シナプス”はしっかりと形成され、
子どもたちがリラックスする事で、より効率が現れます。

Synapses are strongest when the learning has a function. When children are relaxed,
brain cells work with great efficiency.

段階的で効果的な土台のしっかりした
カリキュラムの上に作られています。
